CAUGHT!
It's not as satisfying to catch your own child criminal...especially when they're so stinking cute.

Cruisin
Highlights and Things I Learned On Vacation:
- Party of 26. Wait! No. Make that 30.
- Rocking cruise ships will make me puke.
- If there's a water slide & a heated pool then it doesn't matter that it's about 50 degrees outside.
- $10 for me & the kids to have lunch in Ensenada includes a seat overlooking the gorgeous coast.
- Sleeping in a cave (cabin with no windows) is the only way to get all 3 of my kids to sleep past 8 am.
- When given the option my boys will choose chicken nuggets, french fries and chocolate milk over lobster, steak, ribs, and/or various delicious, high end menu items.
- Tressa makes even a busted (no pun intended) dress look good.
- Chocolate melting cake - mmmm.
- Papa turned 64 surrounded by the children and grandchildren who love him...plus a whole dining room full of unknowing party participants.
- Gary sucks at Karaoke, but is definitely the most entertaining!
- J.R. is turning into her mother - a program, really?!
- Auntie Tressa may be most of the nieces/nephews "favorite", but Riley loves me!
- Nash created a look we like to call Mexican Taxi Cab Hair.
- My kids cannot get all their homework finished on a vacation.
- I can survive without a cell phone or the internet for nearly 5 days.
- They may all be freakishly tall, but I love my three little brothers.

Why I'm Tired, a pictorial essay
Thursday
Kids were hanging from the rafters. Ok, so it was just my crazy brother, James (who drove in from Vegas unexpectedly) that would let his adrenaline junkie 18 month old do that. BUT we had plenty of kids who were so busy playing that they almost forgot to eat dinner...
...except Jackie. She wanted to go home. There was "nothing" for her to do at our house. The only thing she would eat was one of my homemade rolls. They are quite good.
We had lots of family and friends. Here's my adorable cousin, Shandra and boyfriend, Justin. She was my very first cousin...holds that special place in her heart.
Her brother, Phillip, and girlfriend, Jen are having a baby next summer! Congratulations!!!
Which will make these two GRANDPARENTS! Woohooo!
My Great Aunt Joan protects her namesake, Emma Joan, with her karate moves because...
Uncle James is trying to give Emma her birthday spankings...a week late.
Papa fell asleep in a chair in all the chaos. Must've been from the morning of vaccuum dog hairs off of everything before company came.
Or it could've been from this good stuff. We had 2 turkeys totalling 40 pounds and this is all that was left. Enough for a couple of sandwiches this weekend!

THE BIG NEWS
It's not that Emma got to be with her very best friend, Caitlyn, exactly where she wanted to be at her actual birth time on her actual birthday: Pirates of the Carribbean;
It's not that there are reindeer at Disneyland (who knew?!);

Spirit Day!
Do you know how rare it is that my kids are all up, ready, fed and on time - let alone downstairs, happy & together in the morning?! R A R E.
Maybe it's their excitement for Spirit Day which wraps up Red Ribbon Week. I think it's Dedan's favorite week of school, because he wears his favorite color everyday. (Yes, he has enough red clothing to wear 5 different red outfits)
Happy. Pledged to be drug free. Love their schools. A little bit crazy.
It's a good life today.

Disneyland in {almost} October
I love having Disneyland passes. It's been great to run down on occassions when we can spare a day from school and life. Monday was one of those happy days!
The whole place was decorated for Halloween - gorgeously carved pumpkins everywhere,
the Haunted Mansion was all Nightmare Before Christmas-ed out, the air was cool, Nash was dressed all in orange....great way to kick off my favorite month. It didn't hurt that our hour plus wait in line for Splash Mountain was rewarded with Mom in the front seat, taking the brunt of the water damage and screaming like a girl. (Nash is in the back with Har you just can't see him...he was screaming like a girl, too.)
